Is it possible to use the Grillon (Petzl) to suspend a static charge?
(ie other than a person)
if yes, in what situation is it commonly used? For what kind of
charge?

do you have some pictures?

Thanks

I'm sure its possible, but I can't think of an example why you'd do it. As
far as I know, there isn't a common situation where Grillons are used to
suspend objects. As I'm sure you know, their common use is as an
adjustable 'work positioning' lanyard for people who work from some
structure (rather than working from ropes).

What do you have in mind? Are you planning to hang something and designing a
hoisting system?
