Hi, Frank & all,

Hallo,
On end of january I will visit La Gomera for one week.
I'm looking for information about climbing locations there
(websites, topos, maps, ...).
I've been to La Gomera three times, but only for walking and sightseeing. I
did look for information on rock climbing, but found nothing useful on-line.

There are opportunities for bouldering just about everywhere. Bear in mind
that the volcanic rock is young, and rotten in many places!

I have heard that there are a couple of (sport?) routes on a prominent
volcanic plug (can't remember the exact name but translates as dog tooth) in
the south of the island (so not the one near Valle Hermosa), right by one of
the roads down to Playa de Santiago. There is a viewing place and coaches
often stop there so it should be easy to find, but I have no idea of grades
etc.

If you just want a scramble, the 'path' up to La Fortelezza is quite fun.
