Hi, all,

"Snowdon visitors' centre is named

http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/north_west/6173519.stm

"The name of the new £8.3m visitors' centre on the summit of Snowdon, Wales'
[sic] highest mountain, has been revealed as Hafod Eryri. Snowdonia
National Park Authority members voted in a secret ballot from a choice of
more than 400. The centre will replace the demolished mountain cafe once
called Britain's highest slum by Prince Charles."

Perhaps Welsh doesn't have a word for "shit-house" ;-)

I gather that some of the stone to be used is being imported from Portugal -
a new take on Coals to Newcastle, if ever there was one.

some brilliant views; done a youtube video at

Big improvement up there is having no cafe building at all at the
moment. Shame there's only 3 months to enjoy it before they start the
building work!
